Okta Technical Consultant (OCI/OWI)

What you will do

• Lead the technical design, configuration, implementation, and troubleshooting of Okta solutions for enterprise customers.
• Gather and document customer requirements and design secure, scalable identity solutions.
• Implement identity federation and access management using SAML 2.0, OAuth, OpenID Connect, and WS-Federation.
• Integrate Okta with SaaS, cloud, and on-premises enterprise applications.
• Manage multiple customer deployment projects, documentation, scope, quality, and change management.
• Provide customer training, resolve escalated issues, and collaborate with Engineering, Support, Customer Success, Sales, and Product teams.

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of experience as a Technical Consultant delivering complex solutions to external customers.
• Hands-on experience implementing and deploying Okta solutions in enterprise environments.
• Strong knowledge of identity federation, access management, identity lifecycle management, and enterprise security standards.
• Experience with cloud architectures, complex on-premises IT environments, REST/JSON APIs, and integration technologies.
• Ability to manage multiple customer engagements and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
• Valid Okta Consultant Certification is required. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.

Nice to have

• Okta Developer Certification, Workflows Specialty Certification, and experience with Okta Workflows.
• Knowledge of Okta Identity Governance, Okta Access Gateway, and Okta Privileged Access or Advanced Server Access.
• Experience with Java, .NET, PHP, JavaScript, React, Angular, Ember, Node, or mobile application development.
• Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, or Claude.
• CISSP certification and strong presentation, customer relationship management, and problem-solving skills.
