Information Technology/Assurance (IT/IA) Specialist II

Location: Onsite in San Antonio, Texas, United States. U.S. citizenship is required; 10–25% travel is required.

Salary: $94,520–$127,880 per year, depending on experience, geographic location, and contractual requirements.

What you will do

• Provide day-to-day support for Collateral, SCI, and SAP activities.
• Configure and maintain operational software, file servers, firewalls, network access, security monitoring systems, and system documentation.
• Analyze system anomalies, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and perform upgrades, patching, and configuration changes.
• Prepare and update authorization packages, coordinate bodies of evidence, conduct cybersecurity self-inspections, and notify customers of accreditation-impacting changes.
• Identify vulnerabilities and implement countermeasures in accordance with security policies and practices.
• Administer VTC systems, user accounts, government-issued laptops, COMSEC equipment, media controls, help desk support, and external system client support.

Requirements

• Top Secret/SCI clearance is required to start, along with eligibility for Special Access Program information.
• U.S. citizenship is required, and the ability and willingness to attain a CI Polygraph are required.
• At least 5 years of related experience, including required SAP experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related area, or an associate degree plus 2 years of experience, or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of Windows Server, Microsoft Exchange, Windows operating systems, LAN/WAN technologies, backup technologies, COMSEC integration, RMF, SCI security standards, and Common Criteria.
• IAT or IAM Level II certification is required within 6 months of hire; examples include Security+ CE, CCNA Security, SSCP, and CySA+.

Nice to have

• Experience with PL3 and PL4 cross-domain solutions.
• Certifications such as CCNA Security, GICSP, or GSEC.
