Security Specialist/AFSO (Cybersecurity)

Location: Onsite in Colorado Springs, Colorado, at two designated hirify.global facilities. Minimal travel of 0–20%; standard working hours.

Salary: $73,000–$95,000 per year, plus possible additional compensation and relocation benefits.

What you will do

• Support the Facility Security Officer in operating a comprehensive industrial security program for collateral and SCI activities.
• Administer personnel security processes, clearance records, SCI nominations, billet rosters, briefings, debriefings, and foreign-travel reporting.
• Manage physical security activities including badging, access control, visitor processing, perimeter checks, alarms, emergency response, and classified meetings.
• Maintain COMSEC equipment and classified keying material inventories, conduct inspections, and train personnel on COMSEC procedures.
• Manage classified material shipping, receiving, security containers, document accountability, and DD Form 254 requirements.
• Investigate security incidents, conduct self-inspections, apply mitigations, and coordinate with government agencies, program teams, and subcontractors.

Requirements

• Active Secret clearance with the ability to upgrade to TS/SCI is required.
• 3–5+ years of experience as a security professional and an associate’s degree, or equivalent experience and certifications.
• Completion of the DCSA/CDSE FSO Program Management for Possessing Facilities course.
• Working knowledge of NISPOM, national security directives, DCSA/NSA policies, and DoD security regulations.
• Demonstrated experience with DISS, SWFT, NISS, security databases, and access-control systems.
• Ability to perform physical security checks, climb ladders, lift large shipping packages, brief and train personnel, and work independently under pressure.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of cybersecurity and Risk Management Framework security requirements.
• Experience with SIMS, DIAS, COMSEC inventory and disposition, and DCSA-accredited Open Storage Areas.
• Bachelor’s degree, industry-recognized certification, TS clearance with SCI eligibility, and experience in multi-compartmented environments.
