BXMA - Business & Financial Evaluation - Analyst

Location: New York, United States

Salary: $110,000–$125,000 annual base salary, plus discretionary bonuses and potential equity or incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Conduct initial and ongoing operational due diligence on third-party hedge funds and asset managers.
• Lead meetings with senior manager personnel to evaluate governance, internal controls, compliance, valuation, technology, cybersecurity, and business continuity.
• Own diligence coverage for an assigned portfolio of investment managers and coordinate with Investment Strategy, Legal, Operations, Risk, and Compliance teams.
• Review regulatory filings, audited financial statements, offering documents, policies, investor communications, and other diligence materials.
• Identify operational risks and control gaps, monitor remediation, and communicate material findings and recommendations to senior personnel.
• Prepare due diligence reports, risk assessments, investment memoranda, monitoring updates, client responses, and presentations.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of professional experience.
• Knowledge of hedge fund structures, operations, accounting, valuation, trade lifecycle, and regulatory or compliance topics.
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
• Professional judgment, intellectual curiosity, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong organizational, prioritization, and time-management skills, with a collaborative approach to internal and external relationships.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally occasionally as business needs require.

Nice to have

• Experience at an asset manager, hedge fund administrator, prime broker, public accounting firm, financial consulting practice, or law firm focused on asset management.
• Experience producing professional reports, analyses, memoranda, or other business writing.
