Senior Robotics Engineer (AI)

Location: San Francisco, United States; hybrid

Salary: $160,000–$210,000 USD per year, excluding bonuses, benefits, and potential long-term incentives.

What you will do

• Develop perception, mapping, sensor fusion, and calibration capabilities for robotics products.
• Lead SLAM development, including new sensor integrations and performance improvements in GPS-degraded environments.
• Fuse multi-user and multi-session point-cloud maps.
• Automate alignment of LiDAR and imagery data to produce consistent large-scale scenes.
• Eliminate the need for field extrinsic measurements on vehicle sensors and improve data-quality correction at the source.

Requirements

• 5–10 years of experience in robotics perception.
• Proficiency in C++ and Python.
• Extensive experience developing SLAM solutions, ideally with ground-based LiDAR.
• Experience with extrinsic and intrinsic sensor calibration, including automated data-driven calibration.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with ultra-wide-angle cameras.
