Information Security Architect – Data Engineering & Security

Location: Remote, United States; listed for Pennsylvania. US citizenship is required due to contractual and access requirements. Physical work site is required, and the position is office-based when working onsite.

What you will do

• Design and engineer secure data solutions across cloud, hybrid, and on-premises environments.
• Architect secure data platforms, data pipelines, analytics solutions, and data protection capabilities.
• Perform security architecture assessments, vulnerability analyses, risk assessments, and gap analyses.
• Design solutions for data discovery, classification, governance, monitoring, identity and access management, application security, and secure data exchange.
• Evaluate network, cloud, application, and data security technologies and recommend practical solutions.
• Advise stakeholders, mentor team members, and support compliance with security standards and procedures.

Requirements

• US citizenship required due to contractual and access requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, information security, engineering, or equivalent relevant experience.
• 5–7 years of experience architecting solutions and working in information security.
• Experience with cloud data platforms, data lakes, data warehouses, or large-scale data processing environments.
• Knowledge of cloud security in GCP, Azure, or AWS and technologies such as BigQuery, Snowflake, Databricks, Kafka, Spark, or Hadoop.
• Strong knowledge of encryption, data protection, application security, network protocols, security frameworks, and secure API, ETL, ELT, and data integration architecture.

Nice to have

• 7–10 years of experience architecting solutions.
• Master’s degree in computer science, information security, or a related field.
• CISSP, CISM, or CISA certification.
