Principal Information Security Architect - Data Security

Location: Remote, Work At Home - Pennsylvania, United States. Must be a US citizen due to contractual and access requirements. Travel requirement: 0%–25%.

What you will do

• Design and advance enterprise data security architectures that protect sensitive information throughout its lifecycle.
• Secure modern data platforms, analytics environments, distributed query engines, data services such as Starburst, APIs, data pipelines, and information exchange capabilities.
• Develop strategies for encryption, key management, tokenization, data masking, data classification, data loss prevention, and database security.
• Define secure architecture principles, reusable design patterns, technology strategies, and enterprise roadmaps across cloud and on-premises environments.
• Advise executives, architects, engineers, product teams, and business stakeholders on balancing innovation, regulatory compliance, privacy, risk, and security.
• Provide architecture leadership and mentorship while supporting secure delivery, operational excellence, and security for AI and machine learning workloads.

Requirements

• US citizenship is required due to contractual and access requirements.
• At least 10 years of experience in information security.
• At least 4 years of experience as an information security architect, with deep knowledge of Zero Trust, data protection, identity and access management, and threat management.
• At least 3 years of experience with data management, query processing, distributed processing, high availability, statistical and machine learning, and production operations.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience and education.
• Outstanding communication, presentation, facilitation, technical judgment, and cyber-risk analysis skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with mergers and acquisitions, including evaluation and integration.
• Experience managing and leading teams.
• Master’s degree in computer science or a related field.
• Security certifications such as TOGAF, CISSP, or CISM.
