TL;DR
Corporate Compliance Branch Manager (Fintech): Overseeing Tier 1 compliance for Wealth Advisors across Canada, including account approvals, trading reviews, regulatory inquiries, policies, and advisor training with an accent on securities regulation, internal controls, and compliance education. Focus on conducting branch oversight, implementing corrective actions, managing regulatory and audit reviews, and developing training and compliance programs.

Location: Flexible hybrid schedule in Toronto at 483 Bay Street, moving to the Mississauga office at 3 Robert Speck Parkway in approximately late 2026. Current work authorization for Canada is required. The role requires travel 15% of the time.

Salary: CAD 99,000–123,000 total annual cash compensation, including base salary and target performance bonus.

What you will do

  • Provide daily Tier 1 supervision for Wealth Advisors and review new accounts, account changes, and trading activity.
  • Monitor internal controls, implement corrective actions, escalate issues, and follow up on missing documentation.
  • Support investigations involving client complaints, regulatory inquiries, and internal or external audits.
  • Maintain and improve dealer compliance policies, procedures, technology, tools, and resources.
  • Create and deliver compliance education and training for Wealth Advisors, Investly staff, and registered financial planners.
  • Conduct onsite branch visits and support corporate initiatives with the Director and Chief Compliance Officer.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience with CIRO, MFDA, or IIROC in a Tier 1 position.
  • Strong knowledge of securities industry rules and dealer regulations, including CIRO and FINTRAC.
  • Canadian Securities Course, Conduct and Practices Handbook Course, and Branch Manager Course, Investment Dealer Supervisors Course, or current equivalent CIRO examinations.
  • University degree or equivalent work experience, plus post-secondary education in communications, information technology, social media, or digital media.
  • Strong written and oral communication, mediation, influencing, prioritization, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; interest in and understanding of technology.
