TL;DR
Compliance Analyst (Financial Services): Supporting regulatory compliance, audit coordination, reporting, incident escalation, and trade compliance activities for a Canadian clearing broker with an accent on regulatory submissions, policy reviews, risk support, and operational inquiries. Focus on analyzing compliance gaps, gathering evidence for audits and investigations, managing FINRA inquiries through CIRO, and testing order-marking and reporting processes.

Location: Toronto, Canada, with the work location at 483 Bay Street until approximately late 2026, then 3 Robert Speck Parkway in Mississauga. Current work authorization for Canada is required. Flexible hybrid schedule; remote, hybrid, and in-office arrangements are available.

Salary: CAD 79,000–96,000 annual total cash compensation, including base salary and target discretionary performance bonus.

Fidelity Clearing Canada provides trade execution, clearing, custody, and back-office support services to Canadian brokerage firms and the Canadian brokerage arms of U.S.-based firms.

What you will do

  • Support compliance reviews, return mail and abandoned property tasks, operational inquiries, escalations, and business project tracking.
  • Update policies and procedures, perform policy gap analysis, and support compliance training and awareness initiatives.
  • Prepare compliance reports, metrics, management information, and regulatory submissions for senior management and governance committees.
  • Support Trade Compliance activities, including order marker reviews and testing, tracing notices, and regulatory reporting.
  • Escalate incidents appropriately, maintain supporting records, and coordinate audit requests and corrective action plans.
  • Gather data for investigations, risk assessments, reports, and regulatory inquiries, including FINRA inquiries through CIRO.

Requirements

  • Current Canadian work authorization is required.
  • University degree or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the investment dealer industry; compliance experience is an asset.
  • Working knowledge of QI, FATCA, CRS, AML regulations, trading fundamentals, CIRO, and CSA regulations.
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook, with proficiency in Dataphile.
  • Strong analytical, communication, prioritization, presentation, and stakeholder interaction skills.

Nice to have

  • Experience with CIRO regulatory reporting systems, including Order Marking Corrections, Short Reporting, or Gatekeeper reporting.
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce.
  • Digital asset-related knowledge.
