Senior Full Stack Engineer (AI)

Location: Vilnius, Lithuania; hybrid work with at least 3 days per week in the office

Salary: €4,800–€6,000 gross per month, plus applicable short-term and long-term incentives.

What you will do

• Lead R&D initiatives and proof-of-concept deliveries for cloud-native solutions built with Java and React.
• Set technical direction and own architecture decisions from concept through production.
• Design secure REST and agent-to-agent integrations with a focus on reliability, observability, and production readiness.
• Establish software engineering best practices and mentor software and DevOps engineers.
• Drive initiatives across testing, deployment, observability, operability, security, requirements analysis, and solution design.
• Promote AI-assisted tooling across products and the software development lifecycle, taking on Scrum Master or Product Owner responsibilities when needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Several years of full-stack software engineering experience with deep production-level Java expertise, including OOP, SOLID, and Spring.
• Experience building component-based web applications with React and TypeScript.
• Strong SQL skills covering schema design, query performance, transactions, and data integrity.
• Solid Docker and Kubernetes knowledge, including containerization decisions and cluster troubleshooting.
• Working knowledge of AWS services including EKS, RDS, IAM, networking, and observability, plus experience setting technical direction and introducing AI-assisted workflows.

Nice to have

• Experience with LLMs or agent development, including function calling, retrieval-augmented generation, prompt engineering, or MCP.
• Experience with secure APIs and authorization architectures using OAuth2/OIDC, scopes, and token flows.
• Familiarity with Terraform or OpenTofu.
• Background in fintech, capital markets, or another regulated industry.
