Senior Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote-first, available from Bulgaria, Croatia, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, or Ukraine

Salary: €6,500–€9,000 gross per month, depending on experience

hirify.global develops Kimchi, an AI platform for running and managing large language model inference and autonomous AI agents on Kubernetes infrastructure.

What you will do

• Own software features end to end, from design and implementation through testing and production rollout.
• Design and operate reliable, scalable inference APIs, datastores, distributed systems, analytics, and observability infrastructure.
• Build billing, usage metering, and role-based controls for monitoring and governing AI service consumption.
• Architect AI harness pipelines covering planning, execution, evaluation, memory, context management, TUI, MCP integrations, and telemetry.
• Build secure infrastructure for AI agent fleets across cloud and self-hosted environments, with least-privilege access, approval controls, auditability, and observability.
• Work directly with product teams and users to solve complex technical problems and improve the agent experience.

Requirements

• Production experience with Go or TypeScript, or strong systems programming experience in a comparable language.
• Strong debugging, optimization, performance-tuning, query-profiling, index-design, and database-performance skills beyond ORM usage.
• Experience with observability tooling such as Prometheus, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry, as well as CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Strong English skills in verbal and written communication.
• Experience driving complex projects end to end and working comfortably with ambiguity.
• Cloud platform and Kubernetes experience; virtualization, networking, security, Kubernetes internals, AI harnesses, or custom AI workflows are relevant to specific teams.
