Senior Design Developer (Packaging)

Location: Denton, Texas, United States; telecommuting permitted 2 days per week. The role requires 5% domestic and international travel.

What you will do

• Review and develop customer packaging designs for the U.S. market and act as a design business expert for the U.S. and Canada.
• Translate customer artwork and intent into reprographic orders and technical instructions that meet submission guidelines, brand requirements, and company specifications.
• Perform pre-flight checks, full design evaluations, color proofing, and final verification of customer artwork files.
• Drive improvements in artwork quality, design handling, print quality, production efficiency, and consistency across brand families.
• Lead design seminars, training, technology releases, and support for design developers and customer service teams.
• Collaborate with customers, agencies, vendors, and internal teams, including customer visits to discuss design and print specifications.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Design, Printing, Communications, or a related field.
• At least 7 years of experience in printing or a related area.
• Experience using Illustrator, Photoshop, and ArtPro to convert customer artwork into reprographic files.
• Knowledge of typography, color theory, font selection, layout composition, and color psychology.
• Experience with packaging design and production on paperboard and foil substrates using flexography, offset, and digital printing.
• Experience with WebCenter, color proofing, end-to-end design workflows, and cross-functional collaboration.
