Contracts Specialist (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite in Buffalo, New York, United States; business travel up to 10%; relocation assistance available.

Salary: $80,000–$100,000 annually.

What you will do

• Support the preparation, review, negotiation, execution, modification, and administration of contracts, proposals, long-term agreements, and teaming agreements.
• Review contractual, technical, pricing, delivery, and terms-and-conditions requirements before award.
• Interpret contract language, Federal Acquisition Regulations, agency regulations, and other contractual requirements.
• Monitor contract performance, deliverables, obligations, billings, and compliance throughout the contract lifecycle.
• Identify and help mitigate contractual, business, export, and compliance risks in collaboration with Legal Counsel and empowered officials.
• Maintain contract documentation and collaborate with technical teams, customers, suppliers, and business partners on data rights and contractual requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of relevant contracts, procurement, business, program administration, or related experience.
• Understanding of contract administration, contract lifecycle management, and contractual risk assessment.
• Strong organizational, communication, interpretation, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and compliance.
• Ability to work onsite in Buffalo, New York.
• This position requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of U.S. Export Administration Regulations, International Traffic in Arms Regulations, FAR, DFARS, and UCC.
• Experience with warranty claims, government- or customer-furnished equipment, and government or commercial contracts.
• Experience negotiating domestic and international contract terms and conditions.
• Experience supporting DoD, NASA, NOAA, or other government agencies.
• Strong understanding of contract law and contract interpretation.
