Production Designer (Korean)

Location: Cardiff, United Kingdom; hybrid working with office presence required one day per week

Salary: Circa £32,000 per year, depending on experience

What you will do

• Develop, build, and amend traditional and digital assessments and related materials.
• Create and edit images, illustrations, graphics, and other visual elements in line with house style.
• Maintain templates and develop subject- and language-specific style guides.
• Support the publishing team with the analysis and resolution of technical issues.
• Advise internal and external stakeholders on assessment design and layout.
• Assist with integrating new systems, software, and working practices.

Requirements

• Excellent skills in Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Word.
• Strong design, technical, typographical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to manage changing priorities and deadlines.
• Relevant degree or equivalent professional experience in graphic design, artwork, technical illustration, or a related field.
• Excellent command of English and availability for hybrid work in Cardiff, with office attendance required one day per week.

Nice to have

• Typesetting experience in Korean, Chinese, or Japanese versions of InDesign.
• Written fluency in Korean, French, Spanish, and/or Japanese.
• Experience with Adobe Audition, HTML, CSS, or JavaScript.
• Experience with technical illustration or materials for scientific subjects.
