Location: Yarmouth, Massachusetts, United States. Hybrid schedule with at least three days in the office, including Tuesdays and Wednesdays; availability to work up to five days in the office may be required. Travel between Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New Hampshire is required as needed.
Annual salary: $116,160–$129,070, plus potential incentive eligibility.

What you will do
- Develop and implement community and municipal outreach strategies covering relationship development, emergency preparedness, economic development, corporate giving, and employee engagement.
- Represent Eversource at public forums, municipal meetings, community gatherings, business associations, and sponsored events.
- Serve as a liaison between internal teams and government, business, nonprofit, and community stakeholders on utility projects, permitting, construction, maintenance, and reliability activities.
- Establish and manage corporate giving opportunities, including identifying initiatives, screening grant requests, and recommending awards.
- Monitor local government policies, elections, ordinances, and council activities, advising internal partners on political sensitivities and emerging issues.
- Respond to community and customer concerns and support crisis communications and emergency response activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public or Government Administration, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- At least five years of experience in community/customer care or government relations; eight or more years is preferred.
- Experience preparing and delivering presentations on complex issues and handling difficult or controversial situations in public forums.
- Knowledge of municipal, state, and regional government, regulatory processes, utility business, and energy supply issues.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, negotiation, analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
- Valid motor vehicle license required; visa sponsorship is not available, and applicants requiring sponsorship to begin employment will not be considered.
Nice to have
- Advanced degree in Law, Public Affairs, Business Administration, or Communications.
- Previous project management or cross-functional team experience.
