Senior Payments Product Specialist (Fintech)

Location: London, hybrid arrangement, mostly onsite

Salary: £100,000–£160,000 per annum

What you will do

• Shape payment connectivity and settlement operations across the business.
• Develop payments scheme strategy and support future product development.
• Deliver payments infrastructure and settlement initiatives.
• Manage direct scheme participation, compliance, and regulatory engagement.
• Collaborate with scheme operators, banking partners, and senior leadership.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience with UK and European payment schemes, including Faster Payments, CHAPS, SEPA, BACS, and SWIFT.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 20022, MT/MX messaging, CBPR+, and payments migration programmes.
• Experience with direct scheme participation, scheme compliance, and regulatory engagement.
• Track record of delivering payments infrastructure and settlement initiatives.
• Strong stakeholder management skills across scheme operators, banking partners, and senior leadership.
• Experience in fintech, payments, banking infrastructure, or acquiring.
