TL;DR
Operational Support Technician (Laser Simulation): Maintaining, configuring, and supporting laser-based simulation systems for Danish and multinational Armed Forces with an accent on troubleshooting, field deployment, equipment repair, and customer training. Focus on diagnosing technical faults, preparing simulators for exercises, and delivering rapid solutions across training sites in Denmark and Europe.

Location: Oksbøl, Denmark; based at a physical training facility with deployment to field exercises and occasional operations across Europe.

hirify.global’s Training & Simulation business develops and manufactures military training systems, including laser simulators, virtual simulation capabilities, and training services.

What you will do

  • Maintain, repair, troubleshoot, distribute, and configure laser-based simulation systems and their subsystems.
  • Deploy to field exercises supporting Danish and multinational Armed Forces with field-based and back-office technical support.
  • Prepare simulators for exercises, including technical checks, configuration, and pre-exercise planning.
  • Advise customers on simulator functionality and optimize system use for training audiences.
  • Deliver equipment, continuation, and refresher training to customers, Danish Army personnel, and other stakeholders.
  • Support the Support Manager, other Danish sites, equipment availability, site operations, and team communication.

Requirements

  • Analytical IT and technical skills for identifying faults and repairing simulation systems.
  • Strong technical interest and the ability to analyze problems and find rapid, practical solutions under pressure.
  • Fluency in Danish and English, written and spoken, is required.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong delivery-focused, can-do attitude.
  • Full driving licence and readiness to travel internationally without restrictions.
  • Ability to obtain Danish Defence Intelligence Service security clearance, requiring at least seven years of residency within NATO or the EU.

Nice to have

  • Background with the Danish Armed Forces.
  • Experience repairing, maintaining, and managing field equipment.
  • Experience as a high-quality training instructor.
