R&D Internship – Scientist

Location: Brussels, Belgium; on-site role

Salary: €2,414 gross per month, plus a prorated 13th-month allowance

What you will do

• Develop new breakthrough research methods and technical solutions.
• Generate consumer insights and translate them into testable prototypes.
• Investigate product performance, stability, and scale-up challenges.
• Design more sustainable packaging and manufacturing processes.
• Use research-scale equipment, advanced technology, visualization, and modeling to solve technical problems.
• Own an individual project from the first day and collaborate with colleagues from different nationalities and backgrounds.

Requirements

• Currently studying for a Master’s degree at a European university in a scientific or engineering discipline.
• Must remain enrolled at university for the full internship period.
• Demonstrated academic excellence throughout school and university education.
• Good command of English required.
• Technical curiosity, creativity, initiative, and an ability to turn ideas into results.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Interest or experience in natural sciences, life sciences, physical sciences, chemical, mechanical, electrical, or design engineering.
• Interest in materials, automation, sustainability, analytics, simulation, or modeling.
