Senior Laboratory Technician (Lab Tech Sr.)

Location: On-site in Santa Rosa, CA 95403; Tuesday–Saturday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM; 40 hours per week

Pay: $20.00–$22.50 per hour

What you will do

• Process GC/MS and/or LC/MS/MS instrument data for drugs-of-abuse testing.
• Identify analyzed samples, verify batch sequences, and conduct first-level analytical data reviews.
• Generate reports and transcribe or upload results into the Laboratory Information System for final review and certification.
• Maintain accurate Chain of Custody and batch documentation.
• Follow laboratory safety requirements while working with biological specimens, chemicals, equipment, and analytical instruments.
• Communicate with supervisors and escalate emerging issues or challenges.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biology, or a related scientific field.
• Ability to safely work with biological specimens, chemicals, laboratory equipment, and instrumentation.
• Ability to read, understand, and consistently follow written procedures and SOPs.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate laboratory data documentation and review.
• Availability for the Tuesday–Saturday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM schedule.

Nice to have

• Previous laboratory experience with biological specimens.
• Experience with analytical laboratory instrumentation.
• Experience with LC/MS/MS, GC/MS, or associated analytical data.
• Familiarity with LIS, regulated laboratory documentation, or Chain of Custody procedures.
