Staff Software Engineer (DeFi): Building full-stack internal applications and secure digital treasury infrastructure with an accent on multi-chain asset deployments, custody protocols, cloud infrastructure, and blockchain integrations. Focus on designing fault-tolerant DeFi workflows, automated CI/CD and Kubernetes systems, resilient wallet structures, and real-time treasury analytics.
Location: New York, United States
Base salary: $230,000–$280,000 per year, plus discretionary annual target bonus, performance incentives, and benefits.

What you will do
- Design and develop critical internal full-stack applications with React, TypeScript, and Python.
- Architect multi-chain asset deployments, expand CLI tooling, and build automated DeFi workflows and resilient incognito wallet structures.
- Deploy and manage systems on GCP and Kubernetes, including CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, Terraform, and Config Connector.
- Use AI tooling and coding agents to accelerate engineering delivery while maintaining quality standards.
- Improve engineering standards through code reviews, automated testing, mentorship, and target-state architecture evolution.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience building production systems in financial services or other high-stakes environments.
- Strong programming fundamentals and experience with TypeScript, Python, or comparable technologies.
- Cloud and DevOps experience with GCP, Kubernetes, and Docker.
- Strong PostgreSQL skills, experience with analytical stores such as BigQuery, and expertise in data modeling.
- Experience delivering fault-tolerant systems with rigorous testing, observability, and high-availability/disaster-recovery practices.
- Familiarity with crypto, DeFi protocols, yield-generation opportunities, and large language models such as Claude or Gemini.

- Experience managing and mentoring high-performing engineering teams.
- Familiarity with digital asset custody solutions.
