What you will do
- Lead, mentor, and develop engineers, designers, and drafters in the Queensland Building Services team.
- Provide technical leadership across complex building, transport, defence, and infrastructure projects.
- Plan, coordinate, and manage engineering work packages against scope, budget, and schedule requirements.
- Prepare, review, and verify engineering designs, calculations, reports, and technical specifications.
- Manage project budgets, stakeholders, proposals, client engagement, and business development activities.
- Maintain engineering governance, quality management, continuous improvement, and high-performance team practices.
Requirements
- Demonstrated success leading and managing engineering professionals and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Extensive consulting, design, project delivery, or technical engineering experience in infrastructure, buildings, or related sectors.
- Strong project management, budget management, stakeholder engagement, and business development capabilities.
- Advanced ability to undertake and review engineering calculations, modelling, technical analyses, designs, drawings, and documentation.
- Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Chartered Engineer status, CPEng, RPEQ, or equivalent, or the ability and willingness to obtain it within six months.
