Location: Mototolo Mine, South Africa; onsite underground mining role

What you will do

• Maintain, install, commission, and repair underground machinery and equipment.
• Attend safety meetings, conduct risk assessments, and comply with environmental requirements.
• Respond to breakdowns and emergencies and prioritize work requirements.
• Allocate tasks and provide on-the-job training and coaching to subordinates.
• Manage spares and equipment availability, complete job cards, and record maintenance work.
• Perform legal examinations and component replacements while maintaining required quality standards.

Requirements

• N2 Engineering Studies Certificate.
• Diesel Mechanic Technical Trade Certificate, Section 13 or 26D.
• At least three years of underground experience after trade qualification.
• Basic computer and communication skills, with familiarity with risk assessment procedures.
• Ability to work standby shifts and pass a medical fitness test.
• Valid Code 08 driving licence; own car preferred.

Nice to have

• Hardrock mining experience.
• Experience with GHH 4.4, LHDs, GHH UVs, or Toyota LDVs.
