Senior Product Manager - Data Knowledge Department (DKD) (AI/Data Management)

What you will do

• Lead company-wide standardization of data definitions and quality standards.
• Develop and implement data governance policies, management mechanisms, operating objectives, and procedures.
• Drive adoption of data standards through operational transition and change management.
• Lead cross-business and cross-department transformation projects from strategy through production implementation and adoption.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects, recover troubled initiatives, and maintain progress across teams.
• Present strategic recommendations to senior leadership, negotiate with Director and Senior Manager stakeholders, and build cross-organizational consensus.

Requirements

• More than 5 years of experience in data management CoE, IT, data utilization, product management, or business planning.
• Experience standardizing data definitions or embedding quality standards across functions.
• Experience connecting management, business owners, frontline managers, and engineers in project delivery.
• Experience recovering projects by identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and build consensus among stakeholders with different priorities.
• Advanced English and advanced Japanese are required for stakeholder management and negotiations.

Nice to have

• Experience managing a team of five or more members or global teams.
• Experience with ontologies, taxonomies, or other knowledge organization systems.
• Experience in data platforms, data engineering, e-commerce, internet services, or advertising.
• Experience applying AI, ML, or LLM solutions to operational or product improvements.
• Experience with departmental budget planning, production adoption, KPI improvement, or technical development leadership.
