2027 Guardian Summer Intern, Treasury Operations Specialist (Finance)

Location: New York, NY; housing is not provided. The internship runs from May 27, 2027, through August 6, 2027, and candidates must be available for the full program.

Salary: $20.00–$35.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Support the Investment Operations team with daily processes for investment portfolios and transactions.
• Monitor and resolve trade settlement, cash, and position reconciliation exceptions.
• Analyze operational data and contribute to process improvement and automation initiatives.
• Learn about Finance and Risk functions, career paths, and Guardian’s products and services.
• Build professional relationships with leaders, mentors, colleagues, and other interns.
• Ask questions and evaluate data, facts, and other business information.

Requirements

• Current junior pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance, with expected graduation in May 2028.
• Interest in exploring multiple areas of Finance and Risk and willingness to learn different functions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and a technology-driven mindset.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate in a team environment.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employment-based sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Comfort using AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot and Claude.
