Brown & Brown provides insurance services through its Retail Division and operates a Finance and Accounting internship program.

What you will do

• Collect, transact, reconcile, and record insurance carrier commission statements and payments.
• Support billing activities and process direct bill reconciliation tasks for the Retail Division.
• Analyze, identify, and record unearned commissions using standard accounting principles.
• Use software automation to improve process efficiency.
• Complete individual projects involving data gathering, analysis, cross-functional collaboration, and recommendations.
• Present project findings and results to a panel of senior leaders.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Foundational knowledge of financial accounting principles.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to create and edit Excel spreadsheets.
• Ability to work onsite in Daytona Beach, Florida, USA.
