Specialist Customs Broker Lead (Customs Clearance)

What you will do

• Lead the resolution of complex and escalated customs clearance matters.
• Build and grow a specialist customs brokerage function across Australia and New Zealand.
• Design and implement operational processes, procedures, workflows, controls, and service standards.
• Partner with customers and internal Operations, Clearance, Commercial, and Regulatory teams to develop clearance solutions.
• Drive continuous improvement, automation, and system enhancement initiatives.
• Support training, knowledge sharing, coaching, and future team development.

Requirements

• Significant experience in customs clearance, brokerage, or international trade compliance.
• Strong knowledge of customs regulations and brokerage operations.
• Experience handling complex or escalated customer and clearance matters.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and solutions-focused skills.
• Experience coaching, mentoring, or supporting team development.
• Relevant customs qualifications, licensing, or certifications as required.
