Security Automation Engineer (AI)

Salary: $152,000–$169,000 per year, depending on geographic market, knowledge, skills, and experience.

What you will do

• Design and develop normalization, enrichment, triage, and response workflows for security detection events at scale.
• Build and operate SOAR workflows and integrations with SIEM, EDR, CTI, ticketing, SaaS, and API-based systems.
• Develop LLM-based triage, investigation logic, confidence scoring, and automated response orchestration for the AI-SOC framework.
• Operate logging, monitoring, incident response, and reliability improvements for production security automation systems.
• Design automated response scenarios with SOC and Incident Response teams.
• Optimize workflow performance, scalability, efficiency, and operational effectiveness.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with strong Python development skills.
• Experience building security event processing, detection, and response workflows through software engineering.
• Hands-on experience with SIEM, EDR, SOAR, and CTI platforms, including integrations and operational support.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, webhooks, JSON processing, cloud environments—preferably AWS—and complex incident troubleshooting.
• Experience with Git-based development workflows and CI/CD practices.
• Work location: Seattle, USA.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI-SOC platforms, LLM-powered security automation, LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar frameworks.
• Production experience with large-scale SOAR platforms, Kubernetes, and EKS.
• Experience with log processing pipelines, message queues, distributed infrastructure, dashboards, and security analytics.
