TL;DR
AI Automation Lead (AI/Graph RAG): Designing, building, and deploying AI-powered automation solutions across an enterprise OSS environment with an accent on agentic workflows, AI assistants, knowledge retrieval, and operational governance. Focus on developing Graph RAG and semantic search capabilities, leading production implementations, and mentoring engineers while solving complex integration and reliability challenges.
Location: Macquarie Park, NSW, Australia; hybrid arrangement with three days in the office and two days remote or home

What you will do
- Design, develop, and deploy AI-enabled automation solutions, including agentic workflows, AI assistants, and reusable engineering assets.
- Build and maintain Graph RAG, semantic search, knowledge retrieval, and knowledge management capabilities for enterprise AI.
- Lead proof-of-concepts, pilots, and production implementations across the OSS environment.
- Establish best practices for AI engineering, evaluation, testing, observability, governance, and operational controls.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to engineers, automation specialists, and delivery teams.
- Collaborate with architecture, security, data, and platform stakeholders.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience delivering AI automation, software engineering, integration, data engineering, or technology solutions in complex enterprise environments.
- Strong expertise in APIs, workflow orchestration, CI/CD, event-driven architectures, prompt engineering, LLM integrations, and agentic workflows.
- Experience with Graph RAG, vector databases, knowledge retrieval, semantic search, metadata management, and modern AI engineering practices.
- Experience with AWS and Amazon Bedrock is preferred.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence, mentor, and lead technical teams.
- Ability to remain actively involved in solution design, development, testing, and deployment.
