Android Engineer (C++)

What you will do

• Design and implement cross-platform mobile features for Android and iOS using modern C++.
• Develop features for a Chromium-based mobile browser kernel and an OpenGL ES-based mobile game engine.
• Integrate on-device AI inference, LLMs, intelligent agents, AI services, SDKs, APIs, and third-party data sources.
• Optimize AI components for inference latency, memory usage, CPU/GPU utilization, power efficiency, and user experience.
• Collaborate across Android, iOS, and shared C++ infrastructure while writing unit tests, troubleshooting issues, and improving performance and stability.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software development experience, including significant mobile or cross-platform development.
• Strong C++14+ experience and the ability to work across Android and iOS.
• Knowledge of Android internals, including SurfaceFlinger and the graphics/rendering pipeline, plus familiarity with iOS system architecture.
• Strong understanding of Linux memory management, POSIX APIs, computer networks, OpenGL/OpenGL ES, and mobile graphics rendering.
• Understanding of Transformer architectures, attention mechanisms, LLMs, AI agents, on-device AI, model deployment, quantization, and mobile inference optimization.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with shared C++ libraries, AI model deployment, inference optimization, quantization, pruning, or KV cache optimization.
• Familiarity with llama.cpp, ONNX Runtime, TensorFlow Lite, Core ML, multimodal AI, or speech AI.
• Experience integrating LLMs or AI agents into mobile applications.
• Experience contributing to popular mobile libraries or widely used open-source projects.
