Intern - Software Development Engineer (AI)

Location: Arlington, Texas, United States; hybrid with two days per week in the office

What you will do

• Participate in Scrum events, departmental meetings, and Agile software development activities.
• Develop product features for data marketplaces, mobile applications, web applications, and API services.
• Assist with vulnerability remediation and production support.
• Help build and improve DevOps tooling, including pipelines and static scanning.
• Maintain a production-first mindset focused on scale, uptime, and rapid issue resolution.
• Complete the internship program capstone presentation and contribute to continuous product-quality improvement.

Requirements

• Be enrolled in a bachelor's or higher degree program in Computer Science at an accredited college or university, with at least one semester remaining when the internship begins.
• Maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
• Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication, analytical, quantitative, problem-solving, and conceptual skills.
• Be detail-oriented, able to prioritize deadlines, and effective working independently or in a team.
• Use AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot and evaluate AI outputs for accuracy, compliance, bias, ethics, and data protection.

Nice to have

• Junior or Senior academic classification.
• Previous internship experience.
