Senior Director Trade Operations (Biopharma)

Location: Hybrid role based in Morristown, New Jersey, or Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States; travel up to 10%.

What you will do

• Lead distribution strategy for Established Products, General Medicines, and Specialty Care US business units.
• Design and implement distribution models across wholesalers, specialty pharmacies, distributors, and channel partners.
• Support product launches, commercialization, pipeline planning, and distribution risk mitigation.
• Manage inventory, product allocation, order fulfillment, trade inventory reporting, and service-level performance.
• Optimize partner contracts, performance metrics, and operational compliance across distribution networks.
• Collaborate with Market Access, Finance, Supply Chain, Commercial, and cross-functional leadership teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, marketing, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
• Minimum 8–10 years of business experience in the pharmaceutical healthcare sector.
• Required experience in Market Access, wholesale trade, and channel operations; pricing and contracting knowledge is preferred.
• Strong understanding of national and regional wholesale, retail, and pharmacy customers.
• Strong financial acumen, analytical skills, critical thinking, and ability to influence matrix teams.
• Ability to work closely with brand and Access Strategy leads and translate market insights into business and channel strategy.
