Business Analysis Advisor (Mortgage Investor Operations)

Location: Remote work may be available in select geographic locations in the United States, subject to approval. Work must be performed from a quiet, secure, and confidential home workspace; occasional office participation may be required.

Base salary: $75,000–$150,000 per year, plus incentive eligibility.

What you will do

• Research, collect, interpret, and document complex business requirements.
• Develop and review processes, procedures, workflow analytics, and management reporting.
• Translate business needs into actionable requirements in collaboration with business stakeholders, subject-matter experts, and technology teams.
• Lead business analysis project activities, including planning, quality assurance, effectiveness assessment, and project deployment.
• Drive reporting, process improvement, business requirements traceability, and operational control initiatives.
• Mentor and coach other associates and maintain policy and procedure documentation.

Requirements

• University or college degree; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• 3+ years of relevant or direct industry experience.
• Experience in mortgage servicing, investor reporting, loan administration, business analysis, finance, accounting, or reconciliations.
• Knowledge of mortgage servicing operations involving Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, Ginnie Mae, private investors, servicing transfers, remittances, escrow, loss mitigation, default servicing, and investor reporting.
• Strong analytical, business process modeling, requirements analysis, consulting, problem-solving, project management, and reporting skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Freddie Mac servicing and default cash postings, investor funds, mortgage insurance claims, liquidation proceeds, recoveries, refunds, and reconciliations.
• Knowledge of Fannie Mae and Ginnie Mae servicing practices, investor guidelines, compliance monitoring, and servicing oversight.
• Experience interpreting and operationalizing private investor servicing agreements and contractual requirements.
