Foundry Maintenance Technician, 1st Shift

Location: Ashland, Ohio, United States of America; onsite, 1st shift from 5:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Monday–Friday, with extended hours and occasional work on other shifts as needed.

Hourly pay: $30.69/hour.

What you will do

• Maintain, repair, rebuild, install, and test machine tools, foundry equipment, mechanical systems, elevators, and related industrial equipment.
• Operate lathes, milling machines, planers, shapers, drill presses, band saws, and other equipment to fabricate and repair precision parts.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical malfunctions, identify root causes, and complete tear-downs, reassembly, and repairs.
• Fabricate and repair jigs, fixtures, flasks, belts, chutes, hoppers, pans, and other production equipment.
• Perform plumbing, pipefitting, welding, cutting, rigging, and general maintenance work.
• Service industrial electrical systems, automatic and electronic controls, and plant-wide electrical equipment; respond to emergency calls and support equipment installations.

Requirements

• Journeyman’s Card in industrial maintenance or at least 4 years of equivalent maintenance experience.
• Welding knowledge and the ability to perform various welding functions.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, written specifications, charts, and tables.
• Knowledge of pipefitting and ability to operate industrial equipment such as tow motors, high lifts, sweepers, scrubbers, golf carts, tractors, and lawn mowers.
• Ability to work in hot, dusty, noisy, physically demanding conditions and in tight spaces; regularly lift up to 50 pounds and perform standing, walking, bending, reaching, and twisting.
• Steel-toed footwear and metatarsal covers are required PPE.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of high- or low-voltage electrical work.
• CNC experience.
• PLC experience.
