Maintenance Technician II (CNC)

What you will do

• Install, relocate, upgrade, repair, and maintain CNC equipment, including EDM, wire saws, laser engraving systems, machine tools, and automated loaders.
• Diagnose complex machine-tool problems and lead mechanical and electrical repairs through completion.
• Measure axis alignment with Renishaw Ball Bar equipment and perform precision mechanical and electrical adjustments.
• Program PLC ladder logic, keeper bits, communication protocols, and PMC backups for Fanuc and Mazatrol machinery.
• Teach and repair Yaskawa and Fanuc robotic loaders, troubleshoot electrical components, and retrofit hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Coordinate OEM preventive maintenance and repairs, manage parts and project materials, prepare maintenance metrics, and support capital projects and FMEA activities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of machine-tool maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems, including ball screws, worm gears, transmissions, Gib and Way Scraping, and Turcite installation.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, including safety circuits, timers, servos, HMIs, controllers, contactors, switches, and relays.
• Experience with industrial equipment such as blowers, vacuum pumps, augers, gas furnaces, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and CNC controls.
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders, lift up to 50 pounds, work in outdoor, dusty, dirty, or clean-room environments, and use required PPE meeting NFPA 70E requirements.
• Must be able to comply with federally mandated U.S. export control requirements.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Fadal, Haas, Mitsubishi, Hardinge, Okamoto, or Chevalier equipment.
• Experience operating engine hoists, cranes, forklifts, scissor lifts, articulated booms, and front-end loaders.
• Welding and precision alignment experience, including concentric shafts.
• Experience documenting SOPs, inventory, OEE, machine history, expenditures, and MTBF with Microsoft products.
