Senior AI Engineer

What you will do

• Own LLM-powered systems and agentic workflows from customer problem definition through production operation.
• Design evaluation and guardrail strategies, release gates, production monitoring, and historical-claims simulations.
• Build NLP pipelines that combine LLMs, semantic search, and classical NLP to structure unstructured claims data.
• Design durable, event-driven, multi-tenant systems with deterministic workflows, replay semantics, failure handling, and controlled costs.
• Own model tracing, auditability, claims data modeling, privacy, security, tenant isolation, redaction, and retention policies.
• Author cross-team technical designs, review architecture and code, mentor engineers, and participate in the on-call rotation.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience, including architecting and shipping an LLM-powered system for external customers.
• Strong Python and TypeScript skills, including async design, strict typing, testing strategy, and performance optimization.
• Experience designing evaluation and guardrail strategies, agentic coding-tool controls, and production AI quality processes.
• Experience with LLM, semantic-search, and classical-NLP pipelines, including retrieval design and trade-off analysis.
• Experience designing durable event-driven systems, deterministic orchestration, idempotency, backpressure, compensating actions, and replay.
• Experience with relational, document, or graph databases, AWS or Azure, infrastructure as code, CI/CD, and Temporal or Durable Task Scheduler.

Nice to have

• React and TypeScript experience for full-stack AI features, including chat, streaming, and citation-heavy interfaces.
• Experience with LangGraph, Microsoft Agent Framework, MCP, A2A, agent tools, or microservices.
• Experience with LangSmith, Arize, Braintrust, OpenTelemetry, or A/B testing for AI features.
• Experience in insurance, claims, or automotive repair.
