Staff FullStack Engineer, Secures AI

Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada; hybrid work

Annual base salary: CAD 160,000–220,000, plus potential equity, bonus, and benefits.

What you will do

• Shape the technical strategy for the Identity Security Fabric and prioritize open standards such as IPSIE.
• Implement the Discover, Onboard, Protect, and Govern maturity model across fullstack systems.
• Architect systems that discover, govern, and secure human and non-human identities, including Shadow AI assets.
• Build secure access capabilities such as Agent Gateways, short-lived credentials, and least-privilege controls.
• Drive AI-native development practices, technical debt reduction, CI/CD, observability, reliability, documentation, and support improvements.
• Partner with Product and Design on customer outcomes while mentoring engineers and raising the team’s technical bar.

Requirements

• Deep experience designing scalable backend architectures and integrating complex APIs with modern web technologies.
• Strong understanding of web authentication, authorization, and protection of sensitive user data.
• Expertise building reliable, secure, enterprise-grade software with Java or another type-safe language.
• Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript, including the ability to contribute to frontend development.
• Experience designing and operating large-scale services on AWS.
• Ability to apply AI meaningfully across the software development lifecycle and establish AI-native engineering practices.

Nice to have

• Experience leading a team through changes in AI adoption, developer tooling, or engineering culture.
• Experience building or maintaining publicly released SDKs.
• Experience with IAM tooling or a zero-to-one startup-like team.
