What you will do

• Oversee laboratory projects from conception through execution and support management of the laboratory team.
• Develop, optimize, standardize, and validate serology and cellular immunity assays, including multiplex Luminex assays and antibody-dependent cytotoxicity assays.
• Plan and conduct high-volume sample testing for clinical studies and support staff scheduling.
• Design protocols, troubleshoot experiments, and advance studies independently while supporting laboratory staff.
• Analyze large datasets using data analysis software or R/Python scripts, maintain databases, and present scientific results.
• Maintain LIMS records, laboratory supplies, equipment, SOPs, and routine QC/QA processes under GCLP/GLP standards.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or six years of relevant experience in lieu of the degree, plus at least four years of progressively responsible experience including one year managing full-time staff.
• Deep knowledge of influenza and viral immunology, with experience independently designing, executing, and troubleshooting complex experiments.
• Experience developing and validating multiplex, ELISA, antibody-based serological, T-cell, and B-cell assays, including multicolor or spectral flow cytometry.
• Experience with tissue culture, plasmids, virus-like particles, western blot, virus neutralization, plaque assays, and PCR.
• Experience analyzing complex scientific datasets and working with LIMS and electronic documentation systems such as Master Control.
• Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance and meet medical clearance and immunization requirements for potential exposure to infectious materials.

Nice to have

• Ph.D. in virology, molecular biology, or microbiology.
• Three to five years of managerial experience in a GCLP/GLP/GCP laboratory.
• Experience supporting immunology components of clinical trials, multi-omics, integrated immune profiling, robotics, and human research subject requirements.
