What you will do

• Build industry-specific GPTs that encode domain expertise across portfolio verticals.
• Embed AI-native functionality and agents into systems of record to replace core customer workflows.
• Move legacy systems-of-record datasets into new AI-native systems.
• Ship a working domain-specific agent into a live customer environment within the first 30 days.
• Build evaluation infrastructure to measure whether agents are replacing human workflows.
• Create a repeatable AI engineering playbook, model stack, evaluation harness, and infrastructure for future portfolio companies while managing embedded AI engineers as a player-coach.

Requirements

• Production experience building and shipping software used by real customers.
• Experience with frontier and open models, including Claude, GPT, and Gemini, in production.
• Strong judgment on when to use fine-tuning, prompting, RAG, agents, or evaluation harnesses, supported by quantitative reasoning.
• Forward-deployed engineering experience, including visiting customer sites, observing workflows, and rebuilding them with software.
• Ability to work hands-on in the codebase in ambiguous, small-team environments.
