Protective Intelligence Analyst (AI)

Location: San Francisco, CA; New York City, NY; or Washington, DC. Hybrid policy: staff are expected to work from one of the offices at least 25% of the time, with some roles requiring more office attendance. The role includes a flexible schedule with a 24/7 on-call rotation and after-hours response when needed.

What you will do

• Conduct all-source intelligence collection and analysis to identify, assess, and prioritize physical security threats to people, facilities, operations, and reputation.
• Produce quick-turn intelligence updates and in-depth, well-sourced analytical reports for executive and organizational decision-makers.
• Investigate concerning communications, online threats, and persons of concern using established threat assessment methodologies.
• Apply behavioral threat assessment principles to evaluate warning behaviors, escalation toward violence, mitigating factors, and ongoing case-management needs.
• Support executive protection, travel security, and major events through pre-travel and event briefs, assessments, and real-time threat monitoring.
• Monitor open-source intelligence, social media, deep and dark web forums, and web-based intelligence platforms while tracking geopolitical and AI-sector threats.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional experience in protective intelligence, corporate investigations, threat assessment, or a related discipline.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, training, and experience in a relevant field.
• Expertise in OSINT tradecraft, specialized intelligence tools, and social media analysis platforms.
• Hands-on experience with established threat assessment methodologies such as TRAP-18 or WAVR-21, including analysis of targeted-violence warning behaviors and escalation dynamics.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor complex intelligence for technical teams and senior leadership.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines with minimal oversight and participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation.
