Security Engineer - Vice President - IAM - Jersey City (PKI)

Location: Hybrid role based in Jersey City, NJ, United States

Salary: $130,000–$250,000 base salary annually, with potential discretionary bonus eligibility.

hirify.global’s Identity Security organization operates within the Identity and Access Management business unit of the Foundation Engineering Division.

What you will do

• Define and execute the enterprise roadmap for PKI, certificate management, and cryptographic services.
• Lead the design, deployment, and operation of Certificate Authorities, Registration Authorities, HSMs, and Key Management Systems.
• Drive automated certificate lifecycle management using ACME, EST, SCEP, and related protocols.
• Architect PKI solutions for Kubernetes, service meshes, multi-cloud, on-premises, IoT, and hybrid-cloud environments.
• Lead incident response for cryptographic vulnerabilities, certificate outages, and emergency key rotations.
• Manage certificate authority and security vendor relationships and represent the organization in industry consortiums.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity and information technology, including 8+ years of leadership experience in PKI, cryptography, and data protection.
• Deep knowledge of asymmetric and symmetric cryptography, TLS/SSL, SSH key management, code signing, and HSM management.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Cryptography, or a related field.
• Experience with cryptographic standards, audit requirements, WebTrust, SOC 2, ISO 27001, CP/CPS, and certificate governance.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, results-oriented hybrid workplace and collaborate in an Agile environment.

Nice to have

• CISSP, CISM, or specialized cryptographic certifications.
• Experience with post-quantum cryptography and industry security consortiums.
