Director of Research Project Management (Biomedical Research)

Salary: $136,461–$228,467 per year, determined by experience.

What you will do

• Develop and implement research project plans, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, monitoring, and quality standards.
• Manage a portfolio of research initiatives from inception through completion and ensure delivery within budget and schedule.
• Lead and mentor researchers and project managers while supporting performance and professional development.
• Coordinate with finance, academic partners, funding agencies, industry experts, and other internal and external stakeholders.
• Contribute to research strategy by identifying emerging trends and recommending initiatives aligned with organizational objectives.
• Prepare project reports, evaluate performance, address risks, and drive continuous improvement in research processes and methodologies.

Requirements

• Advanced degree in a relevant field; doctorate degree required or preferred, with a PhD preferred.
• At least 8 years of research project management experience; 10 years preferred.
• At least 8 years of supervisory experience; 10 years preferred.
• Leadership experience with a proven record of successful project planning, execution, and evaluation.
• Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, reporting, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to support analyses, data acquisition, literature searches, data sharing, grant reports, and peer-reviewed papers.
