Test Engineering Intern (Aerospace)

Location: Stennis Space Center, Mississippi, United States; full-time, on-site for at least 12 consecutive weeks beginning May or June 2027

Pay rate: $25.00 USD per hour. A relocation stipend may be available.

hirify.global builds rockets, spacecraft, and critical subsystems for space missions, including the Neutron launch vehicle and Archimedes rocket engine.

What you will do

• Support Archimedes engine test operations at the Stennis site.
• Participate in engine rebuilds, test readiness activities, and hardware swaps.
• Help activate and operate rocket engine test facilities.
• Collaborate with propulsion teams on test procedures and sequencing.
• Work with mentors and engineering professionals to solve practical technical challenges.
• Provide progress updates through regular meetings with mentors and supervisors.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's, master's, or doctorate program in engineering, such as electrical, mechanical, or aerospace engineering, with at least one semester remaining after the internship.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• At least 3 months of applied engineering experience through internships, laboratory work, or personal and team projects.
• Must be able to work full-time on-site for at least 12 consecutive weeks beginning May or June 2027.
• For work in a U.S. office, must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected person, or eligible to obtain the authorizations required under ITAR and related U.S. export regulations.

Nice to have

• GPA of 3.5 or above.
• At least 6 months of applied engineering experience.
• Experience with SolidWorks, MATLAB, Siemens NX, Python, or Java.
• Computer-aided design and manufacturing, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, or pressurized systems experience.
