Simulation Engineer (AFSIM)

What you will do

• Build and execute AFSIM scenarios for CONPLAN development, tabletop exercises, wargames, and experimentation projects.
• Develop realistic space, air, land, and maritime platform models, including sensors, communication links, and behavior models.
• Apply Behavior and Agent Modeling techniques and Monte Carlo methods to scenario execution and analysis.
• Create import and export interfaces between AFSIM and other software systems, then document the interface designs and user instructions.
• Store scenarios, platforms, and related objects in a reusable data repository to support standardization.
• Prepare simulation outputs, technical reports, and briefing materials for the Government.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
• At least 5 years of experience in the aerospace or defense industry with demonstrated AFSIM experience.
• Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance required.
• Strong proficiency in the AFSIM development environment and military operations across space, air, land, and maritime domains.
• Experience with behavior models, agent-based simulations, or Monte Carlo analytical methods.
• Ability to translate government specifications into functional AFSIM scenarios and platform models and produce clear technical documentation.
