Solutions Engineering Lead, Healthcare & Life Sciences

Location: New York, NY; San Francisco, CA. The salary disclosure also references San Francisco, New York, and Seattle.

Base salary: $212,000–$265,000 USD annually, depending on work location, skills, experience, qualifications, interview performance, and education or training.

What you will do

• Manage, coach, hire, and develop a team of 3–5 Solutions Engineers through expectations, deal reviews, and career development.
• Own technical wins for strategic healthcare and life sciences accounts through demos, prototypes, architecture discussions, and pilot scoping.
• Build reusable reference architectures, demo environments, evaluation frameworks, and statements-of-work patterns.
• Advise on deploying GenAI in regulated healthcare environments, including PHI handling, de-identification, HIPAA, HITRUST, validation, auditing, and clinical workflow adoption.
• Partner with Account Executives, GTM leadership, Product, Engineering, and forward-deployed Software and Machine Learning Engineers to move solutions from design into implementation.
• Turn account insights into structured product and engineering roadmap input.

Requirements

• Strong engineering background and significant customer-facing experience in solutions engineering, solutions architecture, forward-deployed engineering, or technical consulting.
• Hands-on development experience in Python or a similar language.
• Experience leading or mentoring technical individual contributors; formal people management is beneficial but not required.
• Direct experience selling, building, or deploying software in healthcare or life sciences.
• Working knowledge of PHI, HIPAA, healthcare data privacy, and validation requirements.
• Technical presentation skills for clinical, executive, and engineering audiences.

Nice to have

• Hands-on GenAI, LLM, or applied machine learning experience, especially evaluation and model validation in regulated settings.
• Clinical, biomedical, or pharmaceutical experience, including clinical informatics, EHR integration, pharmacovigilance, regulatory affairs, or R&D.
• Experience establishing a new vertical, practice, or team from an early stage.
