Pediatric In-Home & Acute Care Registered Nurse (Float) (Pediatrics)

Location: Tampa, Florida; applicants must reside in Florida, Tennessee, North Carolina, Missouri, Texas, Georgia, Louisiana, or the District of Columbia. The role requires at least 80% travel for in-home care across various markets and follows Monday–Friday, 10am–6pm local time, with flexibility based on member needs and visit locations.

Salary: $46–$52 per hour, plus an annual bonus incentive.

What you will do

• Deliver episodic, longitudinal, and urgent pediatric care in members’ homes and community settings.
• Conduct and document in-home assessments and perform ear irrigation, point-of-care testing, IV placement, lab draws, wound care, and medication administration.
• Provide family education, follow-up care, and care coordination through digital platforms.
• Flex into virtual acute care nursing to assess and manage urgent pediatric needs using established protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, pharmacists, dietitians, navigators, social workers, and therapists.
• Document care in Athena EMR and communicate with families through the proprietary application.

Requirements

• Active RN compact license required.
• PALS and BLS certification required.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing required.
• At least 3 years of pediatric nursing experience, ideally in high-acuity settings, including 1–2 years of pediatric emergency medicine experience.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, good driving record, and comfort driving long distances in varied weather conditions.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, independent working ability, and comfort with EMRs, virtual platforms, and mobile documentation tools.

Nice to have

• EMS or EMT/P experience.
• Two or more years of pediatric home care experience.
• Bilingual Spanish proficiency.
