Senior Accountant, EMEA (SaaS)

What you will do

• Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts across EMEA entities and support monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, balance sheet schedules, bank and intercompany reconciliations, prepaid and fixed asset schedules, payroll entries, and OPEX allocations.
• Assist with IFRS financial statements, flux and variance analysis, audit requests, and internal control documentation.
• Manage VAT and withholding tax compliance across EMEA jurisdictions in coordination with external tax advisors.
• Use NetSuite and FloQast for reporting, workpapers, close checklists, reconciliations, transaction matching, and AI-enabled analysis.
• Partner with Finance, Legal, HR, and People Operations on accounting matters, special projects, and process improvements.

Requirements

• 4–5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including monthly financial close ownership.
• Experience with balance sheet close activities covering cash, intercompany, prepaids, fixed assets, accruals, payroll, and VAT.
• Hands-on NetSuite experience and strong Excel skills for workpapers, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Working knowledge of IFRS and the ability to research and document technical accounting conclusions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, plus strong communication and organizational skills.
• Experience in SaaS or software, including subscription revenue models and related accounting requirements.

Nice to have

• Public company, public accounting, Big Four, SOX, audit readiness, or pre-IPO experience.
• Experience with AI tools such as FloQast Transform, Claude, ChatGPT, or Microsoft Copilot.
• FP&A collaboration, FloQast practice, ACCA or CPA qualification, and experience with IFRS 15, ASC 606, ASC 340-40, IFRS 2, or ASC 718.
• ERP implementation, system migration, data validation, or UAT experience.
