TL;DR
Tech Lead Application Support Engineer (Linux): Supporting and automating enterprise application and infrastructure operations across Linux environments with an accent on scripting, security configuration, workload scheduling, monitoring, and deployment tooling. Focus on managing batch workloads, responding to incidents through observability platforms, and maintaining reliable delivery pipelines with Jenkins, OpenShift, Docker, and related tools.
Location: Hybrid in Porto, Portugal, with office attendance twice a week. Candidates must be based in Portugal and have Portuguese or EU citizenship or a valid work permit.

What you will do
- Support and maintain enterprise applications and infrastructure in Linux environments.
- Automate system tasks and operational workflows using shell scripting and Python.
- Configure and support SSL certificates, reverse proxies, and load balancing.
- Manage and monitor batch workloads with Control-M and VTOM.
- Monitor system health and support incident response using Zabbix, Grafana, and ELK.
- Work with versioning, deployment, containerization, and platform tools including Git, Jenkins, XL Deploy, XL Release, Bitbucket, Artifactory, OpenShift, and Docker.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience as a Linux IT Consultant.
- Strong expertise in Linux environments and working knowledge of Windows Server.
- Proficiency in shell scripting and Python.
- Experience with SSL, reverse proxy configuration, load balancing, enterprise schedulers, monitoring, and observability tools.
- Fluent English at B2 level.
- Based in Portugal with Portuguese or EU citizenship, or a valid work permit; available for hybrid work in Porto twice a week.
