Sr. Staff Software Engineer (Agentic AI)

Location: Sunrise, Florida, United States

Salary: $145,600–$209,300 base pay per year, with potential performance bonus and restricted stock unit awards.

What you will do

• Set the technical strategy and 12–24 month direction for agentic AI, including platform selection, orchestration standards, evaluation methods, and build-versus-buy decisions.
• Own the reference architecture for multi-agent coordination, delegation workflows, communication protocols, shared tools, and MCP layers.
• Design, build, deploy, and maintain production-grade agents using Google ADK and platforms such as LangGraph, N8N, and Temporal.
• Integrate agents with enterprise systems through APIs, tools, function calling, and MCP servers, creating reusable tools and plugins for hirify.global’s HCM platform.
• Establish operational standards for monitoring, observability, versioning, performance, inference costs, model routing, and agent ROI.
• Define safety, evaluation, and testing standards for autonomous actions involving customer payroll and HR data, while mentoring engineers and influencing platform partners.

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional software development experience, including 3+ years building production agentic AI systems or LLM applications at scale.
• Must work from Sunrise, Florida, United States.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience setting technical direction across multiple teams and delivering multi-tenant, regulated, SLA-backed systems from prototype to production.
• Hands-on experience with Google ADK, Anthropic Claude SDK, LangChain, LangGraph, or similar frameworks; multi-agent systems; orchestration; prompt and context engineering; and tool-use architectures.
• Deep expertise in one or more of Python, Java, C#, JavaScript, or TypeScript, plus scalable software architecture, cloud technologies, DevOps, and enterprise API integration.

Nice to have

• Experience defining evaluation and safety standards, owning inference cost and model-selection strategies, and building telemetry and observability for agentic systems.
• Experience with MCP servers, reusable tool layers, RAG, CI/CD, automation, and agentic workflow design.
• Experience shaping vendor roadmaps, working in complex matrixed organizations, developing accessible technologies, or contributing to diversity and inclusion initiatives.
