Claims Adjuster - Associate (Pet Insurance)

Location: Remote - USA; occasional late adjuster shifts from 4:00pm to 8:00pm EST may be required.

What you will do

• Review, evaluate, and settle wellness, illness, and accident claims.
• Calculate coverage amounts accurately while minimizing errors and processing time.
• Review medical documents and follow up with pet parents and veterinary clinics for missing information.
• Answer claim-related questions by phone, email, and web communication within established service standards.
• Meet claims processing efficiency goals and contribute ideas to improve protocols, customer satisfaction, and service levels.
• Support other departments with claims-related questions and tasks while taking ownership of assigned work.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 3 years of experience in the veterinary field as a veterinary assistant or veterinary technician.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, initiative, and follow-through.
• Ability to communicate effectively with pet parents and veterinary clinics by phone and email.
• Ability to work remotely from the USA and occasionally cover late shifts from 4:00pm to 8:00pm EST.

Nice to have

• Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT), Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT), or Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) credential.
