What you will do

• Provide operational direction to the legal team and align activities with corporate objectives.
• Advise business stakeholders on product development, go-to-market activities, production support, and regulatory matters.
• Support commercial sales contracts with banks and credit unions across North America.
• Advise on strategic partnerships with financial services providers and technology partners.
• Develop strategic goals, operational plans, processes, and standards that improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Implement the intellectual property strategy, including trademark, patent, and copyright management and due diligence in complex transactions.

Requirements

• J.D. degree with active membership in at least one state bar.
• 7–10 years of relevant in-house legal experience, preferably in financial services or technology.
• Experience with payments, banking, data practices, regulatory issues, and complex legal questions.
• Ability to advise stakeholders in a complex, diversified, global organization.
• Strong communication, research, writing, analytical, prioritization, and project management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with senior management and cross-functional stakeholders.
